ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s shares gained over 1.7 percent in mid-day trade on Thursday (08) continuing on the previous day’s momentum that saw the market generate record foreign inflows and crossings on Expolanka shares.
The main All Share Price Index moved up 1.71 percent or 161.70 points to 9,608.97 at 1130 hours.
The most liquid index S&P SL20 rose 1.85 percent or 55.98 points to 3,073.95.
Market generated a turnover of 3 billion rupees.
Top gainers were Richard Pieris, Royal Ceramic and Chevon Lubricants Lanka. (Colombo/Sept08/2022)
