ECONOMYNEXT – A shootout on Bastian Mawatha, Colombo, Sri Lanka, Monday (30) morning ended with one dead and one injured, police said.
The incident had taken place near a bus stand, when two unidentified men on a motorbike had shot at the victims while driving past. The victims were rushed to the National Hospital, where one succumbed to his injuries, the police media division said.
Police said investigations are being conducted regarding the incident and that the motive and the perpetrators have yet to be identified. (Colombo/May30/2022)
