Surekha Kern recently joined Snap Inc. in a newly created role, as Head of New Business EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). She will be based in London, reporting to Director of Emerging EMEA Sam Bevan.
Kern joins the company with many years of global ad sales experience, most recently as Head of New Business EMEA for Unidays. Prior to this, Kern had roles at MTV, Sunrise Television, and prior to Unidays, spent eight years in senior global brand partnerships roles with Discovery.
Managing a team across the EMEA region, Kern will focus on activating Snap’s next generation of partners for Snapchat and building on recent steep revenue growth.
Kern’s new role follows a series of recent senior UK-based EMEA appointments at Snap, most recently Amber Sayer who joined as Senior Head of Retail and Ecommerce, and Matt Salmon as Commercial Director.
