ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa had ordered police to give security judges following an incident involving the removal of security from the Kaduwela magistrate.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media office said lawyers and a judicial services organization had met the Prime Minister over removing her security matter on May 07.
“Acting immediately Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, asked the Inspector General of Police to ensure the security of the Kaduwela magistrate and all other judges,” the statement said.
Kaduwela magistrate had given bail to several protestors arrested near the parliament.
